Morning ladies & happy Sunday. I haven't done one of these posts for a while, mainly because most of my recent purchases have been preloved items but recently there's been a few items I've been 'clicking the button' on, so I thought I'd share these with you today.
Starting with a new pair of jeans & before anyone says it, hubby has already asked if I 'need another pair of jeans?!' But when did 'need' come into it! Plus these are different in terms of they're a straight leg with a very slight boyfriend fit & deep turn ups, which I love. I had a similar pair not long after our son was born & always regret getting rid of them. I've already worn them on a night out & can't wait to style them with trainers & a blazer then come winter with ankle boots.
Just the one warning & that is that these come up big so size down a size, it if helps I'm generally a UK8 & went with a size 24.
This next purchase isn't going to need any explaining is it? Ruffles, broderie anglaise - err hello, this blouse has my name written all over it. I'd say this is true to size (I went with the XS) & is perfect for teaming with so many of our wardrobe staples - dress it up with leather trousers/cigarette pants, team with a simple maxi skirt or dress down with jeans. This is the sort of top I'll enjoy wearing for years to come.
Again the above dress probably needs little explaining either - err maxi & leopard print - yup you've guessed it the button was clicked at the speed of lightening! What this picture doesn't show is that there are 4 spilts at the front of the dress, which allows for some serious swishing & it really does fall beautifully. True to size (I've gone with an 8), this does come up quite long, I'm 5'7" & I can just about get away with the length but may need it taking up a small bit to avoid tripping when wearing flats. Also for anyone not a huge fan of leopard print I'd say the print isn't obviously leopard print. Personally I'm planning on wearing the neckline slightly more open than on the above image & also as the cuffs are elasticated I shall probably wear mine slightly higher up the arm.
Regular readers will know by now I have a major Isabel Marant crush & have slowly been increasing my collection through preloved buys. This belt has also recently made it into my wardrobe & is fast earning it's keep. Again true to size it's a modern day classic that I'd already miss.
Finally I also clicked the button on the above leather sandals for our recent summer holidays. I'm a huge fan of flats & love that whilst they're solid black they look quite delicate on & are perfect for wearing with anything from shorts, dresses, trousers & jeans. Plus being leather they're extremely comfortable to wear & again are true to size. Plus for anyone looking for a nude sandal, they're also available in nude here.
Back to today & it's a simple look for a day at home.
