| On October 18, 2019, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia attended medal ceremony of the winners of the Princess of Asturias Awards, at the Reconquista Hotel in Oviedo. Aimed at rewarding the scientific, technical, cultural, social and humanitarian work carried out at an international level by individuals, institutions or groups of individuals or institutions, these awards are granted in eight categories.
