Fan Bingbing: It is the greatest gift to be nominated

(Toggle) With their movie "I Am Not Madame Bovary" nominated in five categories for the 53rd Golden Horse Awards, including Best Director and Best Leading Actress, director Feng Xiaogang arrived with Fan Bingbing and other major cast members at the Red Carpet Night, and they were welcomed by a crowd of fans.

Bingbing still felt sorry for having missed the ceremony when she won Best Supporting Actress for "The Matrimony" nine years ago. Now, she was happy to be here to meet Sylvia Chang, whom she had worked with in "Buddha Mountain".

When asked if she had confidence in winning, Bingbing said, "It’s not easy for every actress. It is the greatest gift to be nominated." Her boyfriend Li Chen had already wished her success when she was nominated. Xiaogang praised her for having grown from a little girl when they first cooperated 12 years ago into a "master" now. He admired her wisdom of saying "one can afford to be praised as much as he/she can be defamed."
