Crazy Alien 2 announced in a new lineup

(China Daily) Turning 10 years old, Dirty Monkeys Studios -- founded by Ning Hao, one of China's most commercially successful directors -- recently released the latest lineup in Shanghai.

Following the success of sci-fi comedy Crazy Alien, Ning announced he will helm two new movies, respectively a comedy about an arrogant star and a historical drama retelling the stories of legendary generals Wei Qing and Huo Qubing during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 24).

Shot to fame from the smash hit Dying to Survive, director Wen Muye's latest project is Miracle, a tale starring heartthrob Yi Yangqianxi, which recently started filming.

Awards-winning young director Shen Ao revealed that his new film is No More Bets, also a highlight in the lineup which will join hands of stars Zhang Yixing and Jinchen to tell a tale about internet fraud.

Director Wang Zizhao will helm World's Greatest Dad, a noir comedy following a middle school teacher to pursue his dream of becoming a writer. Crazy Alien 2, a sequel to Ning's directorial blockbuster Crazy Alien, will be directed by Yang Yufei.

Besides, the lineup also includes director Han Jie's Taking Care of God, adapted from renowned sci-fi novelist Liu Cixin's eponymous tale, and Brave Untold Danger, a crime thriller directed by Jiang Wei.
