On January 16, 2024, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted the 2nd New Year's reception at the Royal Palace on Dam Square in Amsterdam. At the traditional reception, the Royal couple received foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations based in the Netherlands. Princess Beatrix and Princess Margriet also attended the reception.
