As patron of The Association of Show and Agricultural Organizations, the Duchess of Edinburgh attended the 147th Driffield Agricultural Society Show at Driffield Showground in Driffield. In 2021 and 2022 the show was run over two days for the first time in its history due to the COVID-19 pandemic but returns to its original one-day format in 2023.
On July 18, 2023, The Duchess of Edinburgh visited 9th Theatre Support Battalion REME in Aldershot. The Duchess, who became Colonel last year, unveiled a 9REME flag to mark the establishment of the new Battalion. The 9th Theatre Support Battalion REME (9 TS BN REME) is a equipment support battalion of the British Army's Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
