On April 11, 2023, The Duchess of Edinburgh, in her role as the sponsor, visited the warship HMS Daring at HM Naval Base Portsmouth in order to see the progress of it's refit and maintenance carried out by the staffs of The Royal Navy and BAE Systems Maritime company whilst the ship was in dry dock.
