On February 17, Princess Anne attended the War Memorial Rededication Ceremony at Cathedral Square in Christchurch. She was accompanied by her husband Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. Princess Anne then visited Canterbury Agricultural Park where she unveiled a plaque dedicated to the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association.
