On January 23, 2023, Danish Princess Marie attended the Bocuse d`Or 2023 in Lyon, France, which is one of the world's largest cooking competitions. Princess Marie, together with Denmark's ambassador to France, Michael Starbæk Christensen, visited Lyon to support the Danish chef Brian Mark Hansen at the Bocuse d`Or 2023.
The winner of the competition became Team Denmark. Team Norway took the silver medal and the bronze medal was awarded to Team Hungary.
