Japan's Imperial family attended the traditional New Year's greeting ceremony

On January 2, Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, Princess Aiko, former Emperor Akihito, former Empress Michiko, Crown Prince Akishino, Crown Princess Kiko, Princess Kako and other members of the imperial family attended the traditional New Year's greeting ceremony at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. Emperor Naruhito gave a New Year's address. The event was held for the first time in three years, following a hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
