On October 13, 2022, King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Princess Eleonore, Prince Emmanuel and former King Albert II of Belgium attended the opening ceremony of the academic year 2022-2023 of the Royal Military Academy (KMS) at the Esplanade Jubelpark in Brussels. Prince Gabriel is a first-year student at the Royal Military Academy this year and he took part in the opening ceremony of the new academic year.
