On May 30, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the final of The Queen Elisabeth Cello Competition 2022 at the Center for Fine Arts (BOZAR) in Brussels. Each of the 12 finalists performed the imposed work, written specially for the final of this cello competition, and a concerto of their choice, together with the Brussels Philharmonic under the baton of Stéphane Denève. The winner will be announced on June 4.
