On March 16, 2022, Queen Maxima visited the reception centre for Ukrainian refugees in Amsterdam. The Red Cross and the Municipality of Amsterdam have set up a humanitarian service point in the RAI Convention Centre where refugees are received and where help requests from Ukrainians are recorded. The refugees are offered a place from the RAI where they can stay in the foreseeable future.
