Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the hospital ship “MV Global Mercy” owned by the international charity Mercy Ships. The ship is moored in the port of Antwerp and will sail to Senegal later this month in order to make medical and surgical care accessible to the poorest patients in Africa. Accessible healthcare is one of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, of which the Queen is an advocate.
