Three new photographic portraits have been released on the occasion of the 40th birthday of the Duchess of Cambridge. The photos were taken by photographer Paolo Roversi. The Duchess wore different Alexander McQueen dresses for the photos. The Duchess is wearing the Queen's Antique Diamond Earrings in one of the three portraits. She is wearing earrings that belonged to Princess Diana, in the two other black and white photos. The 40th birthday portraits will form part of the permanent Collection of the National Portrait Gallery. The Gallery will reopen in 2023 with the photos forming part of its Coming Home project.
