Japanese Imperial Family attended the New Year's Lectures 2022

On January 14, 2022, Emperor Naruhito, Crown Prince Fumihito, Princess Kako and other members of the Imperial Family attended the first ceremony of Imperial New Year's Lectures 2022 (Kosho-Hajime-no-Gi) at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.

Empress Masako could not attend the event because she was ill, but she plans to attend Poetry Reading on January 18. Princess Aiko could not attend because of university exams. Crown Princess Kiko currently cannot attend imperial events because she is still mourning for her late father.
