Queen Elizabeth II received the Sultan of Oman and his wife

Queen Elizabeth wore a pale blue dress, and a sapphire brooch which originally belonged to Empress Marie Feodorovna of Russia

On December 15, 2021, Queen Elizabeth II received the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq al Said, and his wife Sayyida Ahad Bint Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Busaidiyah, at Windsor Castle. The Sultan of Oman visited The Prince of Wales, following his meeting with the Queen. Sultan Haitham bin Tariq is a former culture and heritage minister who studied at Oxford. He became the King last year after the death of his cousin Sultan Qaboos who was the Arab world's longest-serving ruler.
