The Swedish Parliament (Riksdag) approved the Speaker of the Parliament Andreas Norlen's proposal to appoint Magdalena Andersson as Prime Minister. The formal change of government took place at a special meeting of Council of State at the Stockholm Royal Palace. King Carl Gustaf chaired the meeting in the presence of Crown Princess Victoria, the Speaker of the Parliament and the new Government.
