Queen Maxima opened Pieter Teylers House at Teylers Museum

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands opened The Pieter Teylers House, a new wing of The Teylers Museum in Haarlem, on Tuesday morning, November 30. The wing is the former residence of Pieter Teyler who had a broad interest in science and art. Teyler left his assets, collections and house to a foundation whose purpose was to improve the lives of everyone. This resulted, among other things, at Teylers Museum, which opened in 1784.
