On October 16, Queen Silvia of Sweden presented the Polar Music Prize 2020 to Russian opera singer Anna Netrebko during a concert at Konserthuset Stockholm. The Laureates of 2020 were announced on February 11, 2020. Anna Netrebko was supposed to have been awarded the prize last year, but the ceremony was then canceled due to the pandemic.
