On October 15, 2021, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain presented the 70th edition of the Planeta de Novela Award at the National Museum of Art of Catalonia in Barcelona. The award is given in order to promote authors who write novels in the Spanish language. The Planeta de Novela Award was created in 1952 by José Manuel Lara and at that time, it had a prize amount of 40,000 pesetas. The Queen wore a dress by Felipe Varela.
