On September 19, 2021, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall attended a service of thanksgiving and rededication at Westminster Abbey, Church House, in London, held on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The Prince has been Patron of the Battle of Britain Fighter Association since 2003. This annual service commemorates the victory, and loss of life, by the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain in 1940.
