As the guest of honor, Crown Princess Mary attended a dinner given on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Danish-Swiss diplomatic relations and Roche's 50 years in Denmark, at the Swiss Embassy in Copenhagen. Official diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Denmark began in 1920. Switzerland appointed an honorary consul to Copenhagen in 1887. In 1921, a consulate general was established. Roche was founded in 1970 in Denmark. Crown Princess Mary wore a synthetic knit dress by Alexander McQueen.
