On the evening of May 4, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima attended 2021 Remembrance Day ceremony at Dam Square in Amsterdam. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the commemoration and celebration take place in an adapted form on May 4 and 5. During the ceremony, André van Duin gave a speech. The King and Queen also laid a wreath on the National Monument.
