Crown Princess Elisabeth of Belgium took part in the Parade for the Unknown Soldier that took place at the Congress Column in Brussels. Crown Princess Elisabeth, the Duchess of Brabant, is a first-year student at the Royal Military Academy. In 1922, the remains of an unknown soldier who died during the First World War were laid out at the foot of the Congress Column in Brussels. According to annual tradition, a detachment of the Royal Military Academy pays tribute to the monument.
