On March 16, 2021, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain visited the Royal Tapestry Factory, a leading historical manufacturer in the field of textile manufacturing and restoration, on the occasion of its 300th anniversary. Established in the 18th century by Philip V of Spain, the Royal Tapestry Factory has a large collection of tapestries, carpets and designs dating from the 16th-20th centuries.
