Captain Sir Tom Moore, the war veteran who captured imaginations around the world with his heroic fundraising for the National Health Service (NHS) passed away on February 2, 2021 at the age of 100. Queen Elizabeth sent a private message of condolence to his family. Captain Sir Tom Moore was admitted to hospital at the weekend after suffering from pneumonia and testing positive for coronavirus.
