On November 12, 2020, Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko made a video call with staff of Kochi Core Center in Nankoku City. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess had planned to visit Kochi Core Center in Nankoku. The visit has been postponed due to the situation with Covid-19. Kochi Core Center (KCC) is a research facility jointly managed by the Kochi University and Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology.
