(Xinhua) War film "The Sacrifice" continued to lead China's daily box office chart, generating more than 32.25 million yuan (about 4.8 million U.S. dollars) on Wednesday.
This brought the film's total box office revenue since its Oct. 23 release to around 470 million yuan, figures compiled by the China Movie Data Information Network showed.
Set during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953), the film is co-directed by Guan Hu, the director of this year's blockbuster war epic "The Eight Hundred."
"My People, My Homeland," a comedy depicting China's achievements in the fight against poverty, ranked second, grossing over 7.58 million yuan on Wednesday. The film's total box office receipts since its Oct. 1 release have crossed 2.6 billion yuan.
Coming in third was "Coffee or Tea?" which raked in 2.06 million yuan Wednesday, with its total box office revenue topping 279 million yuan.
