Prince Albert of Monaco and Princess Caroline of Hanover inaugurated the new building of the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco. The guests were able to discover all of the Institute's equipment as well as the spaces intended for consulting the collections which will soon be open to the public.
The public will soon have access, by appointment, to the reading and consultation room which contains 2,500 books, 15,000 periodicals and various films and audiovisual materials. Ultimately, research will also be accessible online, like its French counterpart, INA.
Founded in 1997, the Association of the Audiovisual Archives of the Principality of Monaco was renamed the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco in August 2018.
