Online voting opens for China's Hundred Flowers film awards

(Xinhua) Online voting has opened for Chinese audiences to nominate candidates for the 35th Hundred Flowers Awards, a top film award handed out once every two years based on public voting results.

A list of five nominees for each of the awards in eight categories, namely best film, screenwriter, director, actor, actress, supporting actor, supporting actress and emerging artist, will be formed following the voting that is set to run until Aug. 25.

Among the 10 films on the preliminary list are blockbusters My People, My Country, Ne Zha, The Wandering Earth, and Better Days.
