A Nod to Neon Part 2

Though I am a fan of bold colors in general, something about highlighter hues just speaks to me in particular… If you still haven’t warmed up to the idea that neon hues can in fact work for real life let me try and make a case for why they can and do!

Trick number one is choosing the right neon for you and keeping your accents neutral (cream, caramel and beige tend to work best with highlighter shades). Personally, I love neon green and bright orange, especially paired with cream and snake-print accents. Another suggestion? Though you can certainly pair neon shades together, I suggest choosing a single bold shade to make it the focal point of your look, and keeping the rest of your outfit subtle and understated.

A neon bikini is bold without being over-the-top, so why not update your beach style with a bright-colored suit? Alternatively sporty/casual styles take color really well, and the ones below are really easy to wear and they add a touch of bold to your everyday/casual looks.

If you’re not quite ready to wear neon-colored clothing, ease into this trend by testing neon in your footwear collection. Opt for neutral colored dress and those cute bright-yellow flip-flops, or pair your denim and white tee with neon-colored sneakers for a punch of color.
