On May 6, 2020, Queen Silvia took part in the webinar "Protecting children online" organized by the UN Association of Sweden and International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
In an introductory speech, Queen Silvia highlighted the importance of sharing responsibility to protect children from threats and violence on the Internet, as well as how the already exposed children's insecurity has increased as a result of the new coronavirus pandemic.
