| King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima are currently making a state visit to the Republic of India at the invitation of President Ram Nath Kovind. The state visit began in New Delhi, where President Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the King and Queen at the Rashtrapati Bhavan presidential palace. After the welcoming ceremony, flowers were strewn at the Raj Ghat monument, the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. The King and Queen then met with the Minister of External Affairs, Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. |
