| On September 6, 2019, Crown Princess Mary attended INDEX: Award 2019 Ceremony held at The Plant CPH. INDEX: Award is a design award given to sustainable and life-enhancing designs. The award is given biennially to five awardees in the Body, Home, Work, Play & Learning and Community categories. Index Award was initiated in 2005 and is financed by the state of Denmark. It is currently the world's largest monetary award in its area, and widely recognised as the most influential design award that improves life. The award is known as the "Nobel Prize of design".
