| On July 11, 2019, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended presentation of Öland Inhabitant of the Year Award at Solliden Palace in Öland. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden presented the 2019 Solliden Award to nature expert Pav Johnsson. The Solliden Award (Swedish: Årets Ölänning) is given to a person who made a remarkable contribution or performance in a special field or who took actions or initiatives that promote the interests and development of the island or who made long-term efforts for the benefit of Öland. |
