| On May 28, 2019, Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended award ceremony of the Queen Elisabeth Violin Competition 2019 held at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel (Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth - Muziekkapel Koningin Elisabeth) in Waterloo. The Queen Elisabeth Competition was founded in 1937 by Queen Elisabeth of the Belgians and her friend, the sublime violin player, Eugène Ysaÿe. Queen Mathilde is the Honorary President of the world-famous music competition. |
