On May 15, 2019, Princess Marie attended "L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards" ceremony held every year jointly by L'Oréal and UNESCO. The award ceremony took place at The Carlsberg Academy in Copenhagen. This year, Stine Linding Andersen, Maria Andreasen and Vida Engmann were deemed worthy of that award. The L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards aim to improve the position of women in science by recognizing outstanding women researchers who have contributed to scientific progress, and to highlight female role models in the field of scientific research. Princess Marie attended the event as the patron of UNESCO Denmark National Commission. (The Princess wore a crepe dress by Hugo Boss). |
