| On May 27, 2019, Crown Princess Victoria presented the 2019 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA 2019) to this year's winner, Belgian writer Bart Moeyaert. The award ceremony took place at Stockholm Concert Hall. The Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award is for children's and young people's literature in the broadest sense of the word.
