| On the second day of her visit to Jordan, on February 12, 2019, Queen Maxima met with Prime Minister Omar al-Razzaz, Minister of Finance Ezzedin Kanakriyah, Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mothanna Gharaibeh, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mary Kamel Kawar and the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, Ziad Fariz. The Queen also attended a roundtable meeting with representatives of non-governmental organisations. Since 2009 Queen Máxima, in her capacity as UN Special Advocate, has been working worldwide to make financial services accessible to all, including low-income groups and SMEs, with a view to increasing their prospects for economic and social development. |
