The Duchess of Cambridge visited Family Action’s Lewisham base

On January 22, 2019, The Duchess of Cambridge visited Family Action’s Lewisham base which provides a range of valuable community support for children and families in South London. The purpose of the visit was to launch a new national support line. Family Action will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its establishment in 2019. The organization works directly with vulnerable children and families through nearly 150 local and national services, as well as supporting professionals and organisations through training and consultancy. Their new service ‘FamilyLine’ uses a network of volunteers from across the country for the purpose of supporting parents and carers virtually through telephone calls, email and text messaging.
