| On January 24, 2019, Princess Alexandra attended the Royal Star and Garter Home in Surbiton on their Founders’ Day celebrations. The charity, of which The Princess is President, is celebrating its 103rd anniversary this year. The Royal Star & Garter was founded in 1916 to care for the severely injured young men returning from the battlegrounds of the First World War. Last year, both the Surbiton and Solihull Homes won awards for the high quality of their dementia care. |
