| On January 23, 2019, Crown Princess Victoria visited The Norrbotten Regiment in Arvidsjaur. The Norrbotten Regiment (Norrbottens regemente), whose designation is I 19, is an arctic armoured, light infantry and commando regiment of the Swedish Army and its origins date back to the 19th century. The duty of that regiment is to struggle with difficult terrain conditions and climatic conditions and to ensure surveillance under these conditions. The regiment is specifically trained to perform duty also behind enemy perimeter. The regiment is located in Arvidsjaur. |
