(China Plus) Chinese actor Zhao Lixin is playing the lead in a new sci-fi thriller, which is due to hit Chinese theatres on June 22.
Zhao Lixin is playing a crazy doctor in "The Secret of Immortal Code."
"He has a very noble ambition; and he wants to save mankind and the entire planet, but at any cost.
So, during this process he shows no concerns about people's lives and human dignity. He sacrifices them in order to find a cure to diseases."
Zhao's co-star in the film is Liang Jing.
Zhao Lixin is probably best known for his role in the hit ancient-costume drama "The Legend of Miyue."
He has also been tapped as a member of the jury for Shanghai TV Festival Magnolia Awards.
