Comedy film Kill Me Please hits theatres on Friday

(China Plus) A new comedy film called Kill Me Please will hit Chinese theatres on Friday. Insiders say it has a "Lost in Thailand" style of humor.

The film is basically about an unaccomplished writer who wants to commit suicide after being diagnosed with cancer. Meanwhile he also intends to leave his wife a huge amount of money by purchasing accidental death insurance.

However, all of his efforts to kill himself fail and lead to a series of farcical situations.

Popular Hong Kong actor Eric Tsang produced the film, and stars in it alongside mainland actors Wang Xun and Zhao Yingjun, as well as actress Yu Shasha.

Insiders who attended the premiere in Beijing on Wednesday have praised the film as a "bucket full of fun."
