| Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and Countess Sophie of Wessex visited Brunei Sultanate in order to attend celebrations of 50th anniversary of enthronement of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Queen Saleha. Golden Jubilee took place in the capital city Bandar Seri Begawan of Brunei Sultanate. Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah acceded to the throne as the Sultan of Brunei on October 5, 1967 after his father retired on October 4, 1967. |
