Danish royal family attended ceremony of anniversary of the Reformation

Danish royal family, namely, Queen Margrethe, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte attended the memorial ceremony relating to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, held at Christiansborg Palace. The Reformation, also referred to as the Protestant Reformation, was a schism from the Catholic Church initiated by publication of 95 theses by Martin Luther. Majority of Northern Europe, except Ireland, fell under the influence of Protestantism.
