(Toggle) Before Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo got together, the actress was twice rejected by her husband when she tried to cast him for her period drama series, The Glamourous Imperial Concubine, in 2011.
Calling him someone who is “slow to warm up” to people around him, she also revealed, during her guest appearance on Taiwan talk show, Date With Xiaoyan, that the 37-year-old is not one who would hang out with the cast and crew on set. Instead, he would be sitting at the veranda with his manager and driver.
“You see, he’s such an eccentric person!” she remarked.
The 41-year-old also shared that she and Wallace have “discussed this topic previously” and are “not sure” how and when exactly their relationship started. But, she added, they would not have gotten together if they did not work together in The Glamourous Imperial Concubine.
The mother-of-one also finally revealed details of her proposal on the show and shared that Wallace popped the question after they watched a Sandy Lam concert together.
“When we got home, there was a sudden strange smell and I saw candles on the floor. He had invited a lot of people to my house and then he proposed!” she shared.
According to Ruby, she was taken aback by the Wallace’s romantic gesture since he’s usually “slow to warm up” and a “stiff” and “boring” person by nature.
Ruby and Wallace got married in Bali last August and welcomed their first child – a baby girl – in January this year.
