(Toggle) Taiwanese actress Ady An and Chinese businessman Chen Ronglian might just take the cake for the grandest celebrity wedding in 2017 so far.
The couple flew close to 200 of their closest friends and family out to Hawaii, America, to partake in the festivities for their multi-day destination wedding, and will be footing the bill for all their guest’s meals and accommodation.
The festivities first kicked off with a welcome party on Sunday (June 4) evening, with all the guests turning up in white, as stated on the invitation cards.
Ady’s good friends, Taiwanese singer Esther Liu, actress-host Kimi Hsia, model-actress Bianca Bai, singer-actresses Joe Chen and Linda Liao were just some of the celebrities present. Ronglian’s celebrity friends, Hong Kong actor-singers Jordan Chan, Danny Chan and actor Roy Cheung also turned up at the wedding.
The bride was dressed in a simple short grey gown adorned with yellow flowers for the party, and positively glowed as she welcomed all her guests.
Ronglian took the stage during the dinner for a short speech, however, he was so nervous that he forgot his lines, and had to refer to his handphone after one sentence.
“Everyone’s worked hard, I’m really touched that all of you were willing to take such a long flight down, from different places, just to attend our wedding,” he said.
Ady also said, “He [Ronglian] touched my heart the most when he made me to feel that I didn’t need to be strong and independent during the period when I was extremely hurt.”
