(Toggle) After saying their ‘I dos’ in a glitzy wedding in Hawaii a few weeks ago, Taiwanese actress Ady An and Chinese businessman Chen Ronglian held a second celebration at Mandarin Oriental Taipei last Friday night (June 23).
The occasion was attended by close to 400 relatives and friends, including Dee Hsu and her husband, Barbie Hsu and Wang Xiaofei, as well as other celebrity guests such as Ariel Lin, Mike He, David Tao and wife, Richie Ren, Shin, Ming Dao, Jaycee Chan and Michelle Chen.
Guests received instructions to come dressed in either red, black or white to complement the wedding’s movie theme. The entire affair was reported to be an elegant and grand celebration with the venue decorated in hues of red, black and gold.
The reception area was outfitted to look like a gigantic filmstrip tunnel containing pictures of the newly-weds’ relationship milestones, from when they first got to know each other to when they fell in love.
Apart from sharing a few kisses for the cameras, during the media session, Ady also openly declared her love for Ronglian at the dinner in front of all her wedding guests. “Hubby, I love you,” she said, to which Ronglian replied, “You don’t have to tell me you love me, I know [that you do].”
Barbie’s presence at the wedding also dispelled discord rumours between her and Ady, after it was reported that the two former BFFs fell out with each other when Barbie married Xiaofei.
Barbie also took the opportunity to address misunderstandings about their friendship during an interview with the media. “It’s finally my turn to attend Ady’s wedding dinner,” she said, while thanking Ady for introducing Xiaofei to her. Her husband in turn expressed that he and Ady have always been “good friends” and wished the bride love and happiness on her special day.
